Pivot Occupational Therapy At Pivot we understand that an individual’s sense of identity, quality of life, physical health and emotional well-being are intrinsically linked to the roles and activities they undertake in their daily life.
What do we do? At Pivot we help you to identify the areas of your lifestyle that you would like to improve. In some cases, this may involve major life changes. In others, it may mean introducing a few new activities or finding a healthier balance between your current activities.
As Occupational Therapists, we realise that making lifestyle changes is a complex process. We also appreciate the interplay between lifestyle choices and feelings of depression, anxiety or stress.
We work with you to:
- set meaningful goals
- develop realistic, manageable plans
- overcome emotional and practical barriers to change
- enhance your skills in time management, motivation, problem solving and communication.
- manage stress, depression or anxiety, where required
